Ooey Gooey Buttery Chocolately Goodness!!!!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to my LG Christmas party, which is always so much fun!! I love those girls SOOOOO much!! There was a ton of yummy food there, as always! I loved all of it but my very favorite thing was something I have never tried before that my friend Amy made. She is always introducing me to the BEST recipes, such as this one listed on my blog from awhile ago. Well, here's a new recipe that I don't know what to call...I think most people call them Heath Bar Candy but I'll just call them Ooey Gooey Buttery Chocolately Goodness because Heath Bar Candy doesn't do  these puppies justice! I mean I think they are seriously one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth. I have made them several times in 2 weeks and need to stop because I cannot quit eating them!!! Oh, and they are SUPER easy!!! SO, here's the recipe:

Saltine crackers (one package out of a box)
2 sticks butter
1 cup brown sugar
11.5 oz milk chocolate chips
Heath bar bits

Preheat oven to 350. Put aluminum foil over a cookie sheet and add crackers like in the picture above.
Melt 2 sticks of butter and a cup of brown sugar in the microwave.
Pour the mixture over the crackers and distribute evenly with a spatula.  Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
This is what they will look like when they come out. They are swimming in the butter. They are DELICIOUS just like this, too!! I know because I tried one tonight without the chocolate.  AMAZING!!! Of course, take something amazing and add chocolate and it's always more amazing!
Sprinkle on milk chocolate chips and spread with spatula. They melt as you spread. After that, sprinkle on Heath toffee bits and put in fridge until cooled.  Then break apart and voila!
Ready to devour!! These things are so delicious that I had to share the love! I gave my sister a few that I had left over and she ate all of them and then went right out and got the ingredients and made her family some. :) I also made some for my Bunco group last Thursday. They loved them, too! Everyone says the same thing: "I can't quit eating them!"  I am going to have to stop making them after Christmas but for now, I'm enjoying!
Reg has been by my side every time I have made these. I can't say I blame him! :) Some butter and brown sugar mixture spilled on the counter and he licked it right up.  I usually tell him to get down but I just let him this time and cleaned the counter really.

Hope y'all enjoy this recipe!!! :)

Ooey Gooey Chocolate Cobbler

I came across this recipe one day on the Internet and thought it looked good and easy.  I also had all the ingredients in my house (not having to go to the store is a BIG plus) so I made it and it is YUMMY!! It's very ooey gooey, which I LOVE!!! It's SUPER easy which makes it even more lovable!! :)

Ingredients:
2 sticks butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups self rising flour
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup milk

Chocolate layer:
1 cup sugar
6 TBS cocoa powder
2 cups boiling water
These days with Mar being so healthy, we don't have anything but skim milk (which is fine by me since I'm not a milk drinker anyway) so I learned the last time I baked something and needed milk that you can just use half skim milk and half half and half as a real milk substitute.
Turn your oven on to 350 and put the 2 butter sticks in a 9x13 inch pan.  Melt the butter in the oven while it's preheating (that's what I did, anyway, and it worked for me).
While the butter is melting, mix the sugar, flour, vanilla, and milk in one bowl and mix the 1 cup sugar and 6 TBS cocoa (I use HEAPING tablespoons) in another bowl.  After this, pour 2 cups of water in a small microwavable bowl (I just used a big coffee cup) in the microwave until it boils (I put it in for 5 mins. but I'm sure it would boil in less time than that).
After that, take the melted butter out of the oven and pour the batter over the butter without stirring. Next, pour the chocolate layer over the batter without stirring. Then, pour the 2 cups boiling water over that....again not stirring. Bake for 35 minutes and VOILA!!
Pure yuminess!! Told ya it was easy! ;)
The gooeyness reminds me of the middle of chocolate molten lava cake from Chili's which is my FAVORITE!!! :)
And I just added this picture to show off the roses my hubby got me last week. :) Doesn't all chocolate look better with roses?!! :)

Enjoy!!!

Happy Day! :)

Ice Cream Sandwich Heaven

Well, Mar's been eating healthy so I don't cook or bake that much anymore.  When Macy is back this summer, I'll probably be cooking more. I've missed it! The funny thing is that Mar didn't eat much of my baking anyway but when he started eating healthy, I just quit baking.  Anyway,  a couple of weeks ago, a friend asked us over for dinner and asked me to bring dessert.  We were real busy that day so I needed something really quick and easy....let me tell ya, it doesn't get much quicker or easier than this and it tastes AMAZING!!
I found a recipe online for an ice cream sandwich cake but as with most recipes, I usually add more of the good stuff to make it better...so I added mini M&M's and Symphony bars.  I also added more Cool Whip than what was called for. If I remembered the site I got the recipe from, I would put it on here but I don't remember it. Most of the ice cream sandwich cake recipes are the same, though.
Ingredients:
2 boxes of Ice Cream Sandwiches
2 tubs of Cool Whip (one big and one just normal size)
Heath bits
mini M&M's
Symphony bars
Hershey's hot fudge
Hershey's caramel sauce
Deep 9x13 disposable pan
Layer the ice cream sandwiches on the bottom of pan
Add half of Cool Whip
Follow with caramel and hot fudge sauce, M&M's, heath bar bits
Layer more ice cream sandwiches on top of that and repeat.
EASY!!!
SOOOOOO  GOOD!!!!
